"Pachita", Tulum, June 1997 Pachita was living at the Paradise Hotel on the beach at Tulum, Quintana Roo. She was desperate for fresh water. Pachita was terribly afraid of people and would only approach the water glass if I stepped 10 paces away from her. She belongs to the breed of dogs they call "Mayan" dogs.
